PRESS RELEASE: CSG Group has reached an agreement with INTEQ Group to sell ReDat Recording

On Thursday, July 31, representatives of the Pardubice-based Retia and the Brno-based INTEQ Group signed a contract for the sale of ReDat Recording, which was a subsidiary closely associated with Retia. The new owner acquired a 100% stake in ReDat Recording under the contract; the price of the transaction will not be disclosed by agreement between the two parties.

ReDat Recording was acquired by INTEQ Group on July 31 of this year, and currently employs dozens of people. For many years, ReDat Recording operated as part of Retia, which is part of the CSG Aerospace division of the CSG group. ReDat Recording became an independent company last year. “ReDat has been a valid and profitable part of Retia and CSG Aerospace for many years. However, in recent years, the focus of our activities has shifted to areas that are only distantly or indirectly related to its sphere of activity, which is why we have decided to sell it. We want to focus on the main areas of our business, which are the development and production of technologies and systems for aviation and defense. Therefore, now is the right time for ReDat to transfer to a new owner who is closer to its focus in terms of industry, and at the same time we are sure that he will provide it with all the conditions for further development and support its economic and technological growth,” said Aleš Klepek, CEO of the CSG Aerospace division.

INTEQ Group deals with information technologies and services, its subsidiary is Intesys, which is a major supplier, especially in the areas of transport telematics, and newly also ReDat Recording, which thus suitably complements their product portfolio. “The purchase of a business share in ReDat Recording is fully in line with INTEQ Group’s long-term intention to strengthen its position, especially in the transport telematics segment, both in the field of railway and road projects. ReDat Recording’s product portfolio and segment focus will naturally complement INTEQ Group’s own portfolio. By including ReDat Recording in INTEQ Group, it will be possible to use a number of synergistic effects and cooperation on joint projects, especially in the railway sector,” explained Martin Kovařík, member of the INTEQ Group Board of Directors and CEO of Intesys.

The main product of ReDat Recording is the sophisticated ReDat system for recording voice, image and other relevant data, which is automatically analyzed so that it can be made available to workers in management processes in various fields in a clear and structured form. ReDat is used primarily in contact centers, various dispatch centers, banks, airports, air traffic control systems, mobile operators, in the management of railway transport routes by components of the integrated rescue system, etc. Its development at Retia began in 1995.
