Surveillance radar in the VHF band is a tried and tested technology and forms the basis of this system. It even detects “invisible” targets at a very long distance, thus providing enough time to ready the army’s defence units.

It also guarantees increased resistance to enemy attack due to the fact that missiles guided to a target operating in this frequency band would need an antenna larger than the actual missile itself. This mobile system is ready for rapid deployment in all climatic conditions.

Technical description

A mobile radar with an automatically deployable high-gain antenna forms the basis of a state’s robust early warning system with a direct connection to the air defence units. The system’s relatively simple technical solution ensures long-term reliability and operational use.

The innovative antenna system allows monopulse signal processing for greater accuracy in the azimuth. A fully coherent frequency agile transmitter, together with a digital receiver and powerful signal processing, guarantee high utility properties both when detecting and tracking remote targets and when effectively suppressing electronic jamming (ECM). The modular design allows its capabilities to be further improved during its life cycle in line with new technical break throughs. The system uses an advanced adaptive detection threshold setting (CFAR), adaptive MTD processing (distinguishing fixed targets) and adaptive clutter mapping to suppress clutter (unwanted signal reflections). The radar is controlled using an intuitive graphical user interface.
