The United States military has purchased ReTwis 5 radars through CSG USA

The unique product of the Pardubice company Retia has been successfully used in the armed and security forces of the United States of America. ReTwis radar, which allows you to identify the location of living organisms behind a solid barrier, is offered in the United States by CSG USA under the name POLR-1. Its users also included the US Army, which acquired it for its special forces. Other markets with significant potential for this small portable radar are Vietnam and other countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

The ReTwis 5 radar system from the Pardubice company Retia, which was successfully certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2020, found its first customers in the USA very quickly. Last summer, CSG USA, a local subsidiary of the Czech industrial technology group company Czechoslovak Group, delivered several ReTwis 5 radars in America to police forces in Phoenix and San Antonio, offered under the name POLR-1. In both cities, radars have already been used in fierce operations, helping local police detect and neutralize dangerous perpetrators.

Following the success of the police forces, the federal armed forces and some federal states also opted for radars from the Pardubice manufacturer. In total, existing contracts for the US market include the supply of several dozen pieces. The price of one set of the latest generation ReTwis corresponds to the price of a middle class car.

ReTwis 5 radars, or POLR-1, are of interest not only in the United States but also in other parts of the world. Retia’s small portable radar system has also attracted the attention of the armed and security forces of Vietnam and several countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. In addition to business success, ReTwis has earned awards from the professional community. He recently succeeded in the MoSAIC Challenge 2022 modern technology competition held in Israel, when he placed first in the Human Detection Presence category.

Retia continues to develop this promising technology. ReTwis should gain the ability to more accurately identify the location of the object, not only across the vertical partition, but also across the ceiling or floor, which will expand the possibilities of its tactical use.

About ReTwis radar

ReTwis 5 radar uses UltraWideBand (UWB) radar technology, which is characterized by high resolution, difficult interference and has virtually no effect on other radio systems. Another advantage of the ReTwis 5 radar is its low weight, thanks to which the radar is highly mobile and ready for deployment within 20 seconds. The range of the radar is 40 meters and can be placed up to 20 m from the obstacle behind which the wanted persons are. Thanks to its powerful batteries, it can operate continuously for up to 5 hours. The ReTwis 5 system has many uses and can be used by security and armed forces.
